Getaway Brief Affiliate Signup Readiness Scorecard
Status date: 2026-06-06
Overall status: near affiliate milestone; finish contact method plus 3-5 representative-page same-week checks before submitting.
Getaway Brief is now live at https://getawaybrief.com, deploys from GitHub through Cloudflare Pages, and uses self-hosted Umami analytics. The public site has 31 generated guide pages, cleaned-up public navigation/footer copy, a consolidated trust center, refined favicon/brand assets, no live affiliate links, and no obvious live partner tracking IDs. The remaining work before affiliate signup is mostly final contact-method approval and same-week manual verification of the representative pages used in applications.
Green checks already in place
| Area | Current state | Evidence file/page |
|---|---|---|
| Public URL | Live canonical site is https://getawaybrief.com; www and tripsignal.io redirect to the canonical domain. | Cloudflare Pages deploy, /sitemap.xml, /robots.txt |
| Article base | 31 generated article pages with constraint-based travel topics and internal source/research records. | data/articles.json, /articles/, /research/ |
| Research backing | Guides include demand/source records in local research briefs and generated internal research pages. | research/*.md, /research/, /source-index.html |
| Trust pages | A public Trust Center now groups About, Privacy, Affiliate Disclosure, Editorial Policy, Contact guidance, and How-to-use links while preserving individual policy URLs. | /trust.html, /about.html, /privacy.html, /affiliate-disclosure.html, /editorial-policy.html, /contact.html, /how-to-use-tripsignal.html |
| Public polish | Footer, navigation, favicon, responsive gutters, and public article language were cleaned up after launch. | scripts/build_site.py, live site visual checks |
| Analytics | Privacy-friendly self-hosted Umami is live through analytics.tripsignal.io; GA4 remains blocked by default. | analytics/, Cloudflare Tunnel, live page source |
| Affiliate safety | No live partner IDs or affiliate tracking links are active. Article CTAs are labeled as pending instead of pretending links are ready. | Generated article pages, scripts/validate_site.py |
Remaining blockers before signup submission
| Blocker | Why it matters | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Contact method | Affiliate programs usually expect a real contact route/email, not just placeholder copy. | the site owner approval needed |
| Final trust-policy pass | Trust center and policy pages now match the live setup direction, but the contact route still needs site-owner approval before applications. | Agent can draft; site owner approves |
| Representative-page spot checks | The strongest 3–5 pages should get a same-week source/claim check before being used in applications. | Agent can prepare; the site owner approves final use |
| Affiliate account submissions | Applications are under the site owner/site owner identity and require approval before submission. | the site owner |
| Partner IDs/link insertion | Live affiliate links stay disabled until accounts are approved and partner IDs are provided. | the site owner + Agent |
Recommended first application sequence
- Finalize a simple contact email or contact method for Getaway Brief.
- Approve or provide the public contact route shown from the Trust Center.
- Verify these representative pages:

- Start with affiliate networks/programs that tolerate new content sites and match current inventory:
- Travelpayouts or similar travel affiliate network
- GetYourGuide / Viator-style tours and activities
- Booking/stays partner only if the site passes their traffic/content expectations
- After approval, add conservative, disclosed partner CTAs page-by-page.
Current signup readiness verdict
- Next milestone is affiliate application prep, not more broad site scaffolding.
- Ready after contact route approval plus 3–5 same-week representative-page checks.
- Recommended approval point: review the selected representative URLs and application packet, then submit the first applications starting with broad travel affiliate networks before stricter lodging-only programs.
